The Lakeside Story

1974

Dr. C.G. Carter had an idea for a church plant in Granbury.

1984

On May 20, 1984, 60 people met for church at Granbury Elementary School. By autumn of that year, Lakeside moved into portable buildings “down the hill.”

1985

Permanent building began at our first location on Highway 144.

1999

38 acres were purchased “up the hill” for future development.

2001

Construction began on phase one of the current, main campus building.

2008

Our main campus building was expanded to provide additional space for children and youth.

2018

Construction began on our outreach building. This building houses our Loaves and Fishes food pantry as well as provides large meeting space and ministry storage.

2024

We have kicked off an expansion to our children’s wing to provide additional space for our preschool ministry as well as our weekday early education school (WEEschool). Construction will begin in Spring of 2025.
